What that means

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up for a paid plan, the company pays me a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way — the commission comes out of the company’s marketing budget, not out of your pocket.

Affiliate links are marked in the page source as sponsored links, and every article that contains one says so at the top, before you read a word of the review.

What it changes

Nothing about the verdict. Concretely:

• I don’t accept payment in exchange for a positive review, a ranking, or a mention.
• I don’t send drafts to companies for approval before publishing.
• I recommend against tools I’m an affiliate for whenever that’s the honest answer, and every write-up includes a section on who should skip the tool.
• Where a better option isn’t part of any affiliate programme, I still name it.

What it does change, honestly

Which tools get written about at all. Software with an affiliate programme is more likely to end up on this site than software without one, simply because that’s what pays for the time. That’s a real bias and it’s worth knowing about. It affects the shortlist, not the verdict.

Accuracy

Prices, plan limits and features change without notice. I check them when writing and again when I revisit a piece, but the company’s own pricing page is always the authority. If something here is out of date, please tell me and I’ll correct it.
